Uninstalled my K40 magnet mount, finished running the coax tot he CB through the cabin, and found a delightfully easy way to have the coax almost totally hidden,a nd definitely out of the way with few headaches. Cleaned out the back while I was at it.

Now looking for suggestions on how to mount maxtrax. wouldnt it be cool if there was a mount to have it flush to the celing inside?
The aggressive texturing would be awesome, especially in black, unless you just used them, in which case not so much, I can feel the sand on my scalp right now.

It would still look cool.

Just installed Nitto TG size 295/70/17 and it looks like I got 1/4" from the body mount when at full turn. So I'm guessing I might be ok. Got a smoking deal from Discount tire direct on line, 205.00 each. No tax and free shipping. Price matched a competitor easy-pezy. They are super quiet compared to my Goodyear MTRs I had.
Trail Grapplers? Where was the price match from?

How did you get the Outside Pillar piece off. Mine looks riveted on. Even Toyota could not get it off. Mine has no nut on the inside, just a rivet like rod sticking out. Any suggestions? Ran my wires under the headliner and out the back thru the rack. Its a pain.

There really is a nut at the base of that rod (like most). I removed mine (cover, not nuts, just the one nut, on the truck) the cover fits very tightly and you have to replace the plastic clips. Not worth it, much easier to run wire on the inside or under the windshield seal.

i cant afford rigids for step lights. :)

its a flexible led strip. might be 45 or so leds there. one thing i dont like is from a distance on the side, you can see the strip. i prefer them to be totally hidd hidden. ill scratch my head on that one down the road.

The dimming is awesome!

Were the led units specified as "dimming" or did it just work out that way?

JUST a straight power tap to dome circuit (location?) got you the dimming?

Also, Do you warn people to apply SPF 30 before approaching your rig?
