Like a dumba$$ at times I told my wife that we should fill up and top off the gas tanks in the 2 cars since gas is $3.71 and rumor is it is gonna go up due to the storm in the gulf. Although I do not quite understand how oil refining would impact me here. California gets most of its oil from South America and is locally refined. So out and about today gas drops another 2 cents. And I am sure on Monday it will be another penny or 2 cheeper. I could have saved like $5.00. Do you know how many taco's that can buy at Taco Bell? ;D

Whats the big pisser is oil is down like 20% from its all time high. why is gas only 9% less??? It is now time that the retail gas station is making profits. When gas was 4.50 a gallon. Gas stations were making between 4 and 10 cents per gallon of profit. Now they are sticking it to the man... Making 25-30 cents a gallon profit. They are seizing the opportunity to reclaim all the lost profits over the pass 12 months or more. I have a client of mine who owns a gas station and gave me the low down on how things work. He ownes a Chevron station and is bound by guide lines on how and at what price to sell the gas for. This price is dictated by the gas manufacture tells the retail outlet what they must sell the gas for.
