Several of us have done this in the driveway. Just set a couple of install dates, and give it a couple of days for some responses. You might be surprised! And the fee ranges from a diet coke to beer and pizza.

I would totally DIY it if I had the time, but usually I am working 7 days a week.

That's why I am trying to get ideas for a place to get the install done where I could just drop the truck off then pick it up.

I would love to ask someone on the forums to do it, I would just feel bad about leaving them alone to do all the work then picking it up later.

My Toytec coilovers are gonna be delivered soon, but I am still trying to figure out where to get them installed... called Demello... but the price of install is more than the coilovers!!! Why is installing a lift 3 times as expensive as installing lowering springs & shocks on my BMW?

If I did just a nonadjustable OME lift... I wouldn't mind taking it to the same place I did the BMW... but since it's adjustable I want to be sure the height and everything is correct.

I'll try the dealership that Toytec suggested.

Yup... the adjustable coilovers for the TRD and TT Bilsteins...

Well I have one potential installer, will even pick up the truck from work and drop it back off when done since they are right down the street from where I work... a little on the high side, but much better pricing than Demello (think almost a little more than 1/2 of what Demello quoted) plus it includes pick up and drop off along with alignment ;D

They where recommended by my Toyota Service Department!!!

Mine cost 0. did em by myself in about 1/2 hour to an hour. Adjusting them took the most time.. spring compressor was "rented" from sears. (I cleaned and returned it after I was done.)

Mike, I thought you had the ones that where already built up?
Yup, I needed the compressor to adjust them. I busted the cheap metal thing they sent me on one turn. they suck a$$ to adjust. Squeeze the spring a little and you can do em by hand in seconds.

But to swap em out thats all ya need is a pair of compressors and a little muscle.

Thinking of going with the Toytec adjustable coilovers that work with my Trail Teams Bilsteins... where can I go to get it installed here in Orange County?
Hi guys, just came across this post (noob here). I recommend calling Supreme Power out in Placentia, CA. They have done mine, and a few friends FJ's/discovery. They even have a project FJ at their shop-
give them a call...714.632.1951 www.supremepower.com (they sell ToyTec, Demello, etc. products as well)
