Wanna make some beer?

I've been itchin to break out all of the home brew equipment and have a wee gathering. I can acommodate (5) 5 gallon batches at once and can keg 4 gallons of it I think. The rest can be bottled. Whatta ya say? I will only use one 5 gallon carbouy myself so there's still at least 20 more gallons to be made if someone else wants a go.

There are homebrew supply places nearby or you can order the ingredients off of the Internet. If you have a favorite beer, there are clone recipes available, just look on the Internet.

We could have a competition and the best beer will be dubbed SoCalFJBrew and Matt can make lables (subject to his approval) and we can bring it out on any offical forum event for all to sample! How's that?

Edit: To clarify, you'll make the beer here using my lack of knowledge and my equipment, and prolly eat my BBQ'ing and drink my beer, you'll provide your own ingredients and the comedic conversation, I will laugh. In addition, there will have to be a follow up party to keg, bottle and drink/taste approximately 2 to 4 weeks after the first party and I would once again assume the feeding responsibility!

So, who wants to make some beer?

Well, well, well, another Scot who likes to drink... ;D Who woulda thunk it...!

My attempt at making beer was a disaster some years ago... but my drinking of god's nectar is maintained. So to answer your question... no, but I will volunteer myself as a taste tester...!

Here's tae us. Wha's like us. Damn few, and they're a' deid!
Reserved for another posting FU like this one
I got a bunch of equipment that needs dusting off, Sounds like a fun plan. Still got about 200 caps I never used. lol

I'm in!

I have been dying to learn how to brew beer!
I have a label created for a beer I planned on brewing (or attempting to brew) with a co-worker called "Fat Girl Ale" :)
mmm I smell another contest. lol

Last time i tried it in college we used to much of something that made the beer over ferment and caused the glass bottles to grenade. glass shards and beer everywhere.

One reason I use kegs instead of bottles. My aunt made mead once and all the bottles she handed out to people blew up what a flippin mess. One went off in her car and there was little dots everywhere headliner, windows, seats, inside the dash, under the seats, then it molded and the dots turned black, she got rid of that car needless to say.

That being said, i know how to bottle and the chance of them exploding is like almost non existant
