I just received a call from June, on the behalf of Deborah Clarke of Trabuco Ranger District who is currently travelling but is very interested in speaking with us regarding the trail system in the Trabuco Ranger District. As I have not had a chance to speak with Deborah yet, June conveyed Deborah's enthusiasm in my request to have the SoCal FJ Cruisers group be involved in the protection, creation and maintenance of the trail system in Trabuco Ranger District. I will contact Deborah next Tuesday or Thursday when she returns from her trip and I will let you all know the outcome.

I hope this notice is met with warm fuzzies by all who read because the trails tat are involved here are:

Cleveland National Forest (Trabuco Ranger District)

Holy Jim
Santiago
Black Star Canyon
North Main Divide
South Main Divide
Wildomar OHV Trails
etc...

I love to help, but I feel that there's still much to be done with 3N59A that I can't divert my attention. Once it looks like 3N59A is under wraps and it looks like we have a handle on it then maybe I'll explore other trails. It seem like we just started to care for 1 trail. I just don't want to lose focus. I do like the closeness of it all though.

Aren't most of the trail listed above merely dirt roads?

Relax, go have some herbal meds :) This will not distract from 3N59A. I havn't even talked to her yet. Besides, snow is coming to 3N59A soon and I'm sure work would be limited then. This is the time I was going to promote Trabuco work :)

I use the OC trails MUCH more than I do the Big Bear trails. That doesn't mean I would work more on the OC trails after committing to the BB trail, it means that I feel more of a connection to the OC trails. I'm in.

Guys, I want to apologize for my original spontaneous comment. I, in no way meant to slight or discourage another adoption. I was just stressed about the abandoned vehicle that was up on the mountain. Not knowing if we can get it out and when.

I would love to be a part of this too. Let me know how I can help. In regards to picking the trails, I'd like to suggest a trail that needs a lot of love and have some unique characters.

I missed Debra Clarke yesterday but did manage to leave her a voicemail directly today and I will update you all as soon as I here from here on what it is they are looking for in volunteers and how we might be able to help.

Tony, Re: the vehicle, I think this can be handled in short order on the next trip. All we have to do is get it to Coxey then call the ranger who can call a tow service for pickup and impound right? Where along the trail was the vehicle? I'm thinking it doesn't matter, a few winches, snatchblocks and a couple cold beers will have it out in no time :)

On another not, I found one at Wildomar that I'm sure the ranger would LOVE to see gone. it's only about 150' down a hill right off the side of the road. Piece of cake. :)
