Ok, today I will attempt the (personally) impossible....I will be attempting to install the 2 12V plugs (cig lighters, whatever you wanna call 'em) in my FJ. Fire extinguisher will be at the ready, and the phone pre-dialed with 911. So, if anyone's in the area and wants a good laugh (or scare), lemme know! PM me for my number, if you don't already have it. Or call MudLoving or Dom...they have it already.

I'll try to take a lot of pics of the screw ups so everyone can enjoy the foibles of FJDave....

Ok, lots of pics. I will more than likely be installing these at the forward-most point on the center console, just under the switch panel. They will be constant-hot as well. Just got back from Radio Shack, getting the rest of the stuff and a little remote control gizmo for my brother-in-law (special needs). He's gonna love that dragon fly thingy!!

i ran mine always hot too and put in a cut off switch.

I hate this. I buy stuff. I know I buy stuff because I'm getting ready to install it. Then I clear out the cargo area for a family get-together. *POOF* The add-a-circuits and wire I bought are friggin gone. Lost. Nowhere to be found. Anywhere.

Now I gotta put the FJ together, and go find another friggin store to get more friggin add-a-circuits. And find friggin sharks with friggin laser beams on their firggin heads. But that's another thread. ARGH!!!!! AAAAAAA!!!!!! Oh well. They'll turn up AFTER the install is done.

I just got the last 2 from Pep Boys. I also got the last set of Hella 500's for an install later this week. Ok, back to the outlet install. More to come!!

The outlet is installed. The there only were 2 problems (other than losing the first set of electrical supplies), which I'll go into in the tech thread. The 50 or so pics are uploading to Photobucket, so this may take a while. Overall, this was a good decision. And I did something that only us ELITE 4X2 owners can do....see thread for more

While I was at Pep Boys, I met another FJ owner who had a bit of misfortune himself....he has just moved here from Florida (in his LEASED 2007 Ti FJ), and some kids loosened his valve stems. Welcome to Calif!! I gave him the site address so he can come here (and the Blue Room) and learn all about his FJ and get the most out of it. If you make it here, Hi Roger!!
