We have an 07 with 250k and have had the Cam position codes show up a few times. I’m not concerned but I will be changing out allot of parts soon on the front of the engine making it a little easier. We also have had the timing cover oil weep for a while now which gives me more ambition to do new gasket along with the timing chain.
Timing chain
I had a garage tell me I need to repace a timing chain on my 07 FJ. Both cam and crank shaft sensors have a change out. Twice. Another shop said I should replace the variable timing solenoids. I've never heard of this before. Am I being scammed?
