The closest place I know is down in Oceanside off the 76, a place called iron sights. Indoor shooting range. The only other place I know of is over the 74 in Mission Viejo, not sure what it's called but its right off the 5.

i tend to frequent Angeles Range since the San Gabriel Valley range was shut down. i'll go to burro canyon, but only on the weekdays. the best is to go shooting in BLM land. check your local BLM office for places that you can shoot.

there's a beltfed shoot going down end of September at Lytle Creek. i plan on going to town on some grapefruit with these... ;)

Seal Beach Navel Weapons station has an outdoor range. You can shoot any size hand gun and up + .22 rifles. It is only open to the public on Sundays and you need your own Range Master. + is is dirt cheep to shoot. You need to bring your own ammo also. Reservations for large groups is required.

spent just about all of Sunday at the Lytle Creek range...good times. unfortunately, Lytle Creek, at the request of the Forestry Service, has banned .50bmg from being fired at the range. all the M2s (Ma Deuces), as well as bolt action .50bmg rifles are no longer allowed to play. this ban is being currently fought, so hopefully things will revert to as was.

my setup

towards range

the lineup

yeah, it got loud

Dude, how the HELL did you get so lucky as to get one of those guns??? Man, I am so jealous!!!
luck's got nothing to do with it. you can get one yourself for about $1200. hustle up if you do cause the parts kits are starting to dry up. don't forget the tripod, the pintle, the jerry can holder, etc, etc. ;D
