Anybody know if it's easy/hard to swap a stock FJ stereo and put a FJammer in a FJ? I'm getting a FJammer and just wanted to know if I should try the swap myself or if I should take it in somewhere to have someone do it. I'm pretty savvy I guess when it comes to electrical stuff. It should just swap right out right? Plug n play sort of thing? Thanks for any input!

You unplug what is there now, and plug it into the fjammer. We can do it saturday if your still coming.

I did it myself in about 15 minutes. I took my time, too. It is SOOOOO easy! 2 phillips head screws and four 10mm bolts.

Swaping the radio is a snap. Its putting the dash board back in that takes the majority of the weekend. Just kidding

Thanks guys, sounds like it'll be really easy! I do have aftermarket amp and sub hooked up so it may take 17 minutes instead of the usual 15! haha

really just plug and play? I thought there was a steering wheel adapter that needed to be pluged in? Interesting in this as well..

The base stereo doesn't come with the steering wheel controls. Just the FJammer. But the steering wheels plug into a plug under the airbag, which is already part of the wiring harness. If you don't have the steering wheel controls, you can buy them for about $60 and install them like I did. But the wiring harness is already there.
