First off all we need all of your raw video. after all video is posted (not sure on what site or host we can do this on yet) we will have a timeline to edit a video from all the compiled footage. We will have a vote on who's is the best and figure out what you will win. at least having it featured on the site. So first things first, what is a good private file sharing site we can do this on. all involved can get the login and password so we don't need to use some P2P virus spreadder.

I like and use Vimeo it is 1,000,000x better then Youtube.

I like this idea I just hope I have time to try and do it.

vimeo is great but i think there is a limit to how much you can put on a week or some poop. so say you have like 8 hours of unedited video, well that site is out, also it has to be downloadable so others can use it too. I dont think youtube has that. Mabey all participants agree to make data cd's and we can mail em to each other. that might work best. but then theres the mac/pc thing. dayum. any Idears??

My idea was to just gather a bunch of video of us doing what we do best and have one or a few people that are good at editing put it all together and add some music that seemed fitting to what is going on in the video. Also include video of everyone hanging out at like Meet & Greets, Meet & Eats, Trail Runs, camping trips, etc. It would be something that everyone in the world can see and let them know how hardcore us So Cal peeps are about our FJs. A contest is a great idea, but from your debating above Mike, it seems kinda difficult due to lack of free video hosting/editing options. If we can find a way to make it work though, why the heck not, right? ;D

There is a weekly upload limit per person (500mb) but I don't think that would be an issue for any of us. Also you can download the video if the up loader allows it for example on Air2airs video "Jeshua Shreads Mojave" if you scroll down to the bottom of the page on the right under Downloads you can click on the link to download it in Windows Media Version (WMV).
It has what we need and if we make it a monthly contest then the upload limit shouldn't be in issue since you would upload the raw video at the beginning of the month then upload your entry at the end. Yes, No?
