thats right kids i have found red scepter fuel cans at ...dun-dun -dun... freaking pepboys! 19 bucks and they had quite a few too bad about the carb caps but i can work with them

lol yeah ive been looking for the plastic ones so i can save weight on the rear door and to put them on the rack but if i couldnt find them i was gonna get steel

I don't think those are the same fuel containers most are looking for.

The Scepter red CARB fuel cans are inexpensive, and are not leak-free or as sturdy as their Mil-Spec cousins. (In fact, even the folks at Scepter aren't fond of them...) Pep Boys has never sold the Mil-Spec version, and the Mil-Spec red has been discontinued for some time (and they never had a CARB spout available to fit them). It has been illegal to sell the mil-Spec scepter cans (or import them into the USA at all) since 12/31/07, and a large company like Pep Boys is unlikely to risk violating a federal and state regulation that imposes stiff fines....
