Painting the Bezel, Wings & Mirrors Question....

I want to do mine in white. Has anybody here done it ? How hard was it & what type of paint did you use. Is this an easy project ? Can I get a forum member to help me with it for a few brews & pizza ? I'm an excellent masker offer but very nervous on removing things.

Thanks for any insight

Bumper wings are easy to remove, I painted all mine black. They just need a good sanding, a few coats of adhesion promoter, and it's ready for paint.

I'm sure someone wouldn't mind helping you out for some beer and pizza! ;D

Thanks Matt I'm a decent painter but hate removing factory stuff. I have had issues breaking things before. I'd be stoked to paint it though after seeing a few white bezels on BC's I want to do mirrors & wings I think that looks more complete. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks FunJunkie I work a 4 day work week so Fri. Sat. or Sun. What type of paint do I get ? I want it to match the roof as close as possible.

And how much paint ? I'm assuming we are talking rattle cans ?

Thanks

Re: Painting the Bezel, Wings & Mirrors Question....

Sunday is good for me, We will want the rustoleum for plastic, if you want to do everything about 4to 5 cans should be safe Ypu will also need a roll of blue painters tape and a cheap razor knife, the 99 cent kind that you just snap off the blade to sharpen it. a sanding sponge and a can of naptha or thinner, then if you want clearcoat we can do that too. If you want we can roll to home depot together sunday and I can point out everything you need. I got all the tools and garage so no worries there. You just need to decide if you are going to do your bumper inserts black or white. Also if you can bring some newspapers that would help out on keepin the rest of the garage and machienes paint free. I'll PM ya my # and address.
