BTW, these parts will last you a VERY, VERY long time. Some of our cars have well over 120K miles on them, and the sirens, PAs, and speakers are the things we NEVER have to replace. Good, quality parts.
How much power do those strobes draw? In another thread, Cruiserlarry stated that those types (xenon I believe) strobes draw a lot of power, and why LED is superior.IMachU said:And $175 for 2 strobes, installed, in the rear tail light lenses.
Dave if you want help and are not working I can help on the Saturday after Memorial day if interested. I have installed a few of these before. 1 dodge and 2 Crown Vics. I can make the siren side work to if you want. Nothing beats being a after hours off duty cop and be on duty if you catch my drift. ;D ;D My only request is doing this in the shade. Lemme know. Oh, Do you want the siren to activate via the horn or are ya gonna just not use the siren portion of it???IMachU said:On Tuesday of next week I'll be picking up my order....a used PA/Air Horn/Siren/light control box, used CHP PA speaker (both reconditioned) and new PA mic for $160, plus tax. I will need some help installing this, as electrical abilities escape me. Well, I can wire stuff to blow up but that is the extent of my inability. This should be a 3-4 hour job. Refreshments will be served.
If anyone else wants the same set up (the siren WILL be disabled in most cases prior to sale, but PA and air horn still operable), let me know. He may still have a couple sets left.
