Hi,

My name is Mark, I have an FJ. Just wanted to check out what's happening in SoCal.

Seriously, cool site. Is this incase FJCruiserForums gets taken out by a preemptive nuclear strike and we need a back up from which to build the insurgency? :)

Stickers, rig fixing, etc. is now all awaiting MAF rebuilding the rig. CV replacement, both boots, winch, making the passenger side door open, etc. While there at it, they're going to rebuild my back end. Not as rude as it sounds, btw :D

Oh, dude. That crossed the line

Just kidding :D

My back end: Nothing really happened to it aside from the disintegration of the AllPro rear upper arms (the weak-a$$ johnny joints). That got MAF off on a development kick, and they'll be coming out with some non-lame twisting lower and upper rear arms soon. These are going to go on. Then, Steve and I have been talking about an upgraded suspension for a while. We've been curious about the remote reservoir OME shocks, and these suckers have the same extra travel as the OME 71's. (the usual struts for the rear are the 140's, but ToyTec has for a while been using the longer struts for extra flex). We're going to twin the remote reservoir OME's with extra-heavy duty rear coils to get about 1/2" extra lift as well as to eliminate the possibility of the coils poping off at max droop with the extra flex from the new shocks. That all adds up to new rear end. (new coils, new shocks, new lower and upper arms, and for the first time the rear Light Racing jounces are going on).

It's actually gonna look like one of those 1970's drag racers. The back end will be all jacked up, while up front it'll still saggy and waiting for an update :) I'm gonna have like double the RTI in the back vs the front, too :D

It will be interesting to see how the remote reservoir OME's work. I saw Tcao's write up on the King rear remotes. This is OME, not King, so obviously won't be as good, but it's an interesting alternative that I'd not seen tried before.

well, if they perform very well and are reliable/quality then it would be worth it, and they would cost less than a full set of foxs, kings, or etc

the write up looks good to me, 75% more fluid and seperate chambers for gas and fluid. it seems like it is a good deal for ~$200 a peice
