My Daughter and I went through 3 - S5's on verizon and all had issues with Google services on both phones.
Maps, Youtube and play Store had major issues when using cellular data. Also quite a few lock ups that required battery pulls. We both switched to The HTC ONE and IMO it is a way better phone that the samsung.
I am a phone nerd, I switch all the time between Android and IOS looking for the latest and greatest. I am currently back with IOS on the iPhone 6+. I don't like it any more than the HTC but it the Apple is much better at sending photos via SMS than the androids
If you are staying with android I would take a look at the
HTC one, I would never buy another samsung

I think I'm going to go ahead and get the note 4, l use my phone as my computer anyways lol. I'll deal with it not fitting in my pocket, and if I get it on the edge plan the phone will onlv cost me $125
