I use Google Earth as well as hard topo maps but wanted to know if anyone had any suggestions for Mac friendly topo software or on-line sites...? Would like to be able to plan trips and see what is available as far as off road routes etc.

Thanks!

I also use a Mac and have been using the Topo! software. It's pretty stable on the Mac and I've had few issues with it. The maps are very detailed and it takes 10 CDs to cover all of CA. You can also import info from your GPS unit which is a nice feature. Depending on the unit, you can export info to the GPS as well.

I'd like to hear what mapping info the others have to post. I'm always looking for good Mac friendly programs and sites.

I installed a Mac Mini (Intel) in my dad's 07 Tundra.. It's running an 8" Lilliput touchscreen, bluetooth keyboard and mouse...
It dual boots Windows XP and OSX, runs Garmin Topo, and National Geographic Topo, along with all the StreetSource Nav software. It's also using a the Garmin 18 USB antenna. It's a killer setup for on and off road.
Dave, if you need help getting something similar set up, let me know. I'm a former Apple employee and know Macs inside and out. Happy to help.
