I've seen that he has posted on multiple forums looking for different cars to test a product on. He never got any response from anybody, so I'm assuming that something must be fishy.

Just did a bit more research, and supposedly people that have volunteered their cars in the past had trouble with AEM and their agreement. They said it took about a month to get reimbursed for their car rental fees, and took about 8 months to get the intake (some still haven't gotten theirs yet). I don't think the hassle is worth it for a ~$300-400 intake.
