looks like this post was started a bit ago..........but for anyone in san diego i (we) finally found a dealer that DOES NOT QUESTION MODS and gets the work done.

EL CAJON TOYOTA!!!

we've been to Poway toyota and Escondido toyota......both places left us with less than pleasant feelings. both shops questioned the mods (bigger tires, etc) and seemed to look for something to justify ......LOST WARRANTY!! hubby had words with both shops due to their business ethics. they were even on the slimey side!

EL CAJON toyota was great last time we went down there. my lights were all on (dash) and obviously happened while hubby was putting on the 3" lift.......sensor wire was stretched and ruined........but i took it down to them for check-up and they ordered the part.....even offered me a free loaner car until the part came in and NEVER mentioned my bigger tires, lift, etc!!!!! when we picked up the truck they just mentioned, SOMETIMES THAT HAPPENS AFTER GOING OFFROAD but never argued or warned us of any warranty issues as the other dealers had!

highly recommend these guys. the guy that helped us was named Sandy. (girls name but its a guy) :)

It's been a while...any updates about the service and parts departments at our dealerships in San Diego? Bob Baker Toyota's pre-owned salesguys are worthless. I knew more about the 2010 FJ Cruiser I purchased than they did; and that was not very much. I will say that the Finance Department (Tracey and Clarence) were helpful.

El Cajon is probably still the best bet. They are offroad freindly but still a dealership so they will deny some stuff. The owner greg is an FJ enthusiast too.

yep cool people at el cajon toyota. they will charge extra if you have skids
true, any dealership and most places anywhere will charge xtra. I always remove mine prior to save some cash. even under warranty they want to charge like 50-75 bucks.

Toyota of El Cajon rocks! We have been going to them for 15 years now with a Camry, Sienna and now the FJ. We bought new from them too and they always did good by us.

Just lately they had a new Calvary Blue FJ on their fornt pad with an 'off-road package' that they called the 'Baja package'. It was sweeet! Wanted it! Off-roaders dont make them flinch.
