sounds like the going rate for help on this forum is beer and pizza....i had called various shops asking for a price quote on the install of a roof rack and HID lights to the OEM switches. these prices seem to be all over the place. what would be a reasonable price to pay?

i have install lights before but not HID or on the roof and not to the OEM switches

Not sure. I didn't use the OEM switch, but put an aftermarket one in the OEM slot.

My whole thing cost two free bottles of wine and some parts. ;D

I think someone posted up that Dirty Parts would run $400 for the install. Not sure if the HID makes a difference in the labor.

HIDs could make a difference, if they use external ballasts. Labor rates are based on the specific lights, where they are mounted, what switches you use and where they are to be located, and other accessories that might affect the time required to do the work.

I feel we do the finest professional installation you can find - and after 25 years of installing light systems for customers, we've had no failures, and no complaints. However, we are not the least expensive; not because we charge a premium, but because it takes time, effort, and experience to do the job right.

We are proud of the quality of our work, and the high referral / return rate we have from our customers.

But, unfortunately, we can't work for beer...
