GOBI ROOF RACKS KINGDOM ENDING SOON.

Guys thank you to the guys at WAAG www.waag.com We will have 3 roof racks choose from.

First one will be similar to the Ranger style from Gobi.
Second one similar to the Stealth.
Third one will be a stylish, sexy one according to them
They will be using round tube, and can be powder coated to you favorite color (sorry no pink available).
I stopped at Waag today to inquire and they are telling me all of them will be with adjustable cross bars (sliding type), will have brackets for accesories.

I've been the chosen one to be their first customer, so don't even think about placing an order just yet, E.T.A 2 weeks at the most.

However, please bombard them with e-mail requests for those racks, so we can create urgency.

Any questions? yeah, I know price, cheer up guys, they will be cheaper, a lot cheaper.

The integrated tabs for lights are a plus, as well as using your stock rack. However, it sits real high (about a 1.5 too much), and clearly looks like an add-on. I think it would look much better if the top rail of the WAAG rack was even with the stock rack. The front looks a bit naked too, but I'm sure it will look much better with lights on.

Do they plan on offering a mesh type basket?

They are going to change the brackets so it sits lower and flush with the top bars.Rememer this was just a test fit.

Well now I have a loaner rack from Waag, until they finish the others so I can pick one (cool isn't it? ). As for the weight handling to give you guys an idea, 3 persons were standing on top of my FJ, I took a pic with my cell but I'm having problems retreiving it, so you will have to take my word for it

Checked the website and the rack (the XS model) looks awesome! Price is something like $689 with free shipping and if you tell them you are from here they are offering the rack for $589, also with free shipping. Pretty sweet deal. I just wish I could afford one right now. LOL.

Actually, this leads me to another question. Since I don't want to hi lift.. err.. hijack this thread, I'll post it in a new thread.
