Very nice. I sit on the fence re: this topic. I am no scientist and I have no time to endlessly research this. I say drill the hell out of our country and rape it for every drop of oil, so long as it is done in a way that is responsible. What I don't like to see is acres of wildlife destroyed with oil spills and such. Back to the Global Warming part, It makes more sense to me that showing the history of our planet through geological research, etc..., we are indeed in a cyclic cooling/warming phase and this Global Warming hype is B.S. but like I said, I am no scientist so I sit on the fence.
This guy is just as extreme on the one side as Gore is on the other. An issue like this rarely has absolutes and his blanket summarizations are just as unbased as he claims some of the global warming science is.
Bottom line to me is:
1. We are f-ing up the planet. That cannot be denied.
2. Can we afford to be wrong about this? Long term historical data is meaningless because there has never been a force like the Human Race putting ever increasing stress on the natural order of things.
"global warming" may be the wrong poster child for the enviromental movement and man's ingenuity may stay ahead of the deteriorating bio-diversity that is the building blocks of our planet, but is that the type of world we want to live in?
Very tough questions with tougher answers that are blurred by special interests on both sides.
My view is that the planet is going through its natural heating and cooling cycles also. I believe when mother nature has had enough of us we will be wiped. If that means we use up all our natural resorces and die from it then nature will recover as it always does. We should be drilling all over Alaska and offshore drilling to cover our own oil needs. If carabou are to dumb to walk around an oil rig then shoot it and eat it. This country has become so politically retarded that we have become soft. That need to change.
