some people had bad luck with the fuel cans from Major Surplus that i had posted about on the blue forum, but both of the ones i got were in great condition...great meaning, no internal rust, fair exterior condition, no leaks when vertical or horizontal. worked great on the mojave trip, not a single drop wasted, and help up nice and secure in the mounts.

ORW still sells the Jerry cans, standard 10 gal. with the metal Bung cap they dont leak a bit laying on their side. the surplus ones I bought were rusted out, I had to fill em with cheap gas and a bunch of sand and let em slosh around for about a week, then I rinsed em out and then used naval jelly on the inside to stop the rust. now after all that work I think I saved 10 bucks by not buying the new ones. lol, But the surplus ones do got a cool german word on em and little pop out reflectors that show what kind of fuel is in em. I guess I was one of the unlucky ones on that deal.
