why wouldn't they warranty it? did you overheat?

 

No, it's loose, as in play. Did not fail from overheating. We spoke with the local dealership insider and they stated it's a freak failure, not a well known issue with FJ's so most likely would get denied.

 

I would wait till the dealership tells you they will not cover it before you go into bummer mode.

2011 4WD AT, Fan clutch failed, discovered at 48k. Way to early. Looser than a hooker on Sepulveda. My buddies shop says Toyota will most likely not warranty it.. Thoughts? opinions? I'm losing faith in Toyota.

They freaked when I told them my power steering just randomly went out at 7000 miles and said they have never had to replace a rack and pinion ... They fixed it very quickly and told me at the end that all the rock damage underneath told them that it didn't happen on a street lol so they might not be dumb but still very good about taking care of our vehicles
