Yea, my life revolves around the dog. He goes with us 99% of the time be it a week long ski trip or down the street to the park for a few hours. Kaiser- 11 years old. Enjoys lying in the sun, eating tennis balls, and wondering what happened to is gonads.
PS, I just figured out how to post photos so i'm trying to get it out of my system.

Here's DeeDee! My basset hound Matt got me for my birthday a few years ago! She is totally messed in the head and I think I'm the only one she trusts but we love her to death & I'd take her everywhere if I could. This is here last Halloween all dressed up..she won the costume contest.

And this is her spazing out cause she wasn't the center of attention while I was watching my nephew!

Meet Rootbeer (Rooty) and Little Bit

These are my 2.5 year old Aussies (Australian Shepherds).

Rootbeer is a red merle...

And Little Bit is a red tri...

The dogs are litter mates and both were born on my birthday (Halloween). LB is very camera shy, and Rooty is starting to be as well so shots of the boys are far and few between. :-\

Sorry to hear that Piper.

I have a Dane that I am going to have to put down soon. Poor old boy can not stand to pee. Have to carry him out sometimes. Then the next he acts like a puppy.

I will be bringing my babies as they go eveywhere with us. Tillie the pride of the FJ Summit in her roll cage and our newest addition MR T. Both long haired Dacshunds.

I am still to stupid to post pictures on here

Here is Buddy, my little buddy. He's a 9 year old Boston Terrier that we inherited from my father in law, who passed on January 30, 2008. Buddy was his constant companion, and we will cherish Buddy forever. Besides, he's just a cool dog!

FYI- There are services that will come to your house to euthanize your dog/cat. Which I have done. It is much better to say goodbye at home. And much less traumatic on your pet not to spend its last moments in a cold vet exam room.IMHO

Agreed, My family has had that done with 3 of our dogs. I think it's a little more comforting knowing they're in a place they know, that's their home, rather than being loaded up in the car and taken somewhere they don't know. I dunno thats just me, my pets are members of my family either way its a very hard thing to deal with. :-\

had to resurect and old thread but i need a quick went. I just took my dog to the park behind my house. it is next to an elementary school which just happened to be getting out. right after the crossing guard complimented me for my good lookng dog, i hear someone say, "is that a pit bull?" i turned around and saw a lexus driving by me yelling a comment about me being by an elementary school. They took off before i had a chance to fling my freshly filled poo bag at them. i still went to the park but kept expecting they had called the sheriff on me.

i have had my dog for 11 years so i am used to stupid comments from narrow minded people. I normally let them roll off of my back, but this one just got to me- probably because the cowards yelled it out the window ass they drove by in the Lexus. i guess it didn't help that i was wearing my pit bull rescue t-shirt also that says "get a real dog."

My dog is very well behaved and extremely mellow and he especially loves children. He plays with my friend's 2 year old girls no problem and one of our nieghbors lets her toddler roll around with him too. Rant over. Game on.
