I have seen quite a few threads lately about detailing the FJ. I have been detailing my show cars for quite a long time. I have no power tools such as a Porter Cable orbital buffer. I do it all by hand, which takes a long time.

I'm having a GTG at my house in the next few weeks since the weather is cooling down and getting perfect for detailing, and before it gets too cold. You will need to bring your own detailing products. If you need advice on what to get, I can tell you what works for me. I suggest a clay bar, Mother's Step 2 glaze/polish, and a good polymer wax such as Meguire's NXT Tech Wax. I can provide the dish soap for the wash. Also, you will want to get a good detail spray, such as Meguire's Quick Detail.

So, let's check calendars and pick a day. Waddaya think?

If I could go....is bringing the FJ mandatory? I have a sedan that needs major work.

Dude, hop on the 405 south, and follow it to the 605. That's where I'm at!

You can bring whatever you want to bring...a sedan would take less time than an FJ ;D

im down, mine needs a good wax job, ever since i stopped using the fj as a daily driver, it sits dirty in my driveway
