CB - Best place to purchase...?

2746 Views 12 Replies 8 Participants Last post by  IMachU
Made up my mind that I am going to get a Midland Handheld (#75822) mainly due to it's versatility (in truck, out of truck, in another vehicle, etc). Now I need to know where to get the best deal...

Please no worries about CB radio comparisons... I will be using for trail runs only, and plan on doing HAM in the future.

Walcott - $110
Amazon - $85

I will be odering from Amazon (free shipping too!) but wanted to know if any others had suggestions.

Went to Walmart in AV/Laguna Niguel, will never go back, crazy place.

Ordered through Amazon...
FRY's had some good deals last time I checked, nothing too spectacular but if you plan on swapping out for ham I wouldn't spend that much anyhoo.

Depends on the Fry's. The one at Fountain Valley has no CB stuff.

Thanks was going to stop off there on the way home from work (Torrance) today. Due to traffic sucking eggs I went right home.
what about Radio Shack on line? A buddy of mine said that was the best place to get them.
The last "CB" shop in the area is a place called The Solder Joint in the city of Orange. Also, the T/A truck stop off of the 10 and Millikin has TONS of CB stuff, Seriously!

Good tips! I was trying to help out another member and went to Radio Shack, Walmart, and a couple of other places. It seems everyone is out of this particular CB (popular unit I guess). I'm glad to hear there are other options.
