Hi everyone,
im new to this site and yesterday i bought a salvage 2007 FJ from a auction. now i wanna to register in California. my question is, in order to pass the "smog test", do i have to change any of the existing emission parts from the truck. can i just got the smog place and get that done. please let me know.
thanks

Bigger issue is the salvage title if it is not currently a registered vehicle. CA requires many forms, fees and inspections to register a salvage title, smog is just one of them. Might be simpler to do it in other state first.

I bought one of my FJ's in lousiana (not salvaged). The dealership made all the paper work for the dmv paperwork for cali and I smoged it here in Cali passed without any issues. I belive all fjs are 50 state emission compliant. It should say under neath the hood on the emissiom sticker
