There have been a string of Black Bear Attacks here in the SoCal/ Los Angeles County area. The Risk of Black Bear attack is escalating because of the forest fires destroying their habitat. The Bears are a lot hungrier and more viscous because of the the lack of food they have.

When Off-Roading, Hiking, or Camping, use as much caution as you can. Bring something to defend yourself with and remember to Tread Lightly.

Just Thought I'd Share.

Or, have a "Thugasaur" with you. He's bigger and badder than any Black Bear.

BTW.... Where is he lately?

On a realistic note, the people at Forever Wild had some kind of spray that they used on the tigers, that was suggested for anyone off-roading. I don't remember the name and such, but will try to get it and post up here.

I believe the stuff they had at Forever Wild was pepper spray, and they said it did work. My memory is that the type they used cost about $60-70 per can, and they were pretty big cans. It had a substantial range and volume, such that it would do more than just 'piss' them off.

I've sent some contacts out to get more info, but no replies yet.

Which one is that again?
I'm thinking either Lakewood or Norwalk. I can't remember which, but I'm leaning more toward the Lakewood one.

He doesn't like cops, so I think I'll show up at his store in uniform and have him chase me out....I THINK I can run faster....don't really wanna find out though....:D

No...it would be all fun and games till he caught you.... but if you have some of this, it might help (although you might have something stronger) ;D

Bear Protection

This is the stuff they had at Forever Wild... The "Counter Assault" stuff. I believe it was the larger sized bottle, and they had the belt holsters. Everyone that worked there had to carry one, and they all wanted to as well.
