I have Bilstein 5100s installed on the front of my FJ on the 3rd setting up from the bottom. I would like to raise the front end up more, how much higher can I go without causing premature wear on the CV joints and upper ball joints?
I think it depends on your springs and how much extra weight you have. If the axles are near flat and level at ride height, I would say go up a notch. If you have a huge angle already on the axle shafts, maybe do a diff drop. Pretty sure you can go to top groove. I have King shocks, SPC upper control arms, and 33's. I jacked it pretty high, no problems in 20k miles, I did break a sway bar link and ripped the CV boot. Kinda hard to break the CV's without a locker.
