I am contemplating on a 3 inch body lift on my 2007 FJ. I am also in the planning of getting new tires... Any suggestions on where or how to go about the 3 inch body lift? I'm not sure about the cost either. Advice or suggestions?

Long time no see. How you doing?

You really don't want to do a body lift, they cost just as much as a cheaper suspension lift when there installed correctly, and you want to install them correctly other wise you run into lots of problems with brakes, steering..... the list goes on.

The cheapest route I would recommend going would be to install spacers, I have some for the rear that you can have for free if you want, then all you would need is the front and that would be cheap maybe even free if you can find a nice guy that has some laying around. I know there was a set last year that kept making the rounds, I think 3 or 4 peeps have had them and its just been passed on to the next guy for free. I would look in the blue forum classifieds for some front ones if you can't find some free ones. Install is really easy I could help if you need it.

Do the suspension lift. A body lift just helps larger tires clear the fender wells. A suspension lift actually cranks up the chassis as well, giving your engine and transmission (well, all the goodies pinned to the underside of the rig) more clearance. That is much better for your off-road driving....not slapping skids on everything. After that's done (or even at the same time, but not before) is when you want to put the larger tires on. Also, a body lift changes the geometry of the truck more than a suspension lift. So, get the suspension instead!! I highly recommend Demello Offroad for your suspension needs.....or we can do an install day, and have a few folks get together and install stuff.

Thats what we are here for. :) When you get the lift, let me know and I can ether head down to Camp Pendleton or you can come out to Hemet and we can toss it on the FJ.
