hey guys my A/T oil temp. light came on yesterday while i was offroading going up a pretty steep hill i ended up turning off my car for 5 min and when i started it back on it turned off just wondering what it means.

Means your transmission temperature reached maximum safe level. Shutting it off and waiting was a good idea. Is your trans cooler/ radiator/ condensor area clogged with mud???

Garrett, do you have a ScanGauge II hooked up?

If your light comes on any more, you may wanna rinse out your radiator....maybe even add a really good (read - BIG) trans cooler. Hopefully, it was just a fluke. Keep us posted!

there was no mud around, but ill have to check my radiator i have 42,000 miles on my car so its probably a good idea thanks guys , Garrett
