Going to play in Holy Jim Canyon for a couple of hours on 8/2/2008. If you are interested, post up.
This is going to be a midnight run. I will be at Cooks Corner at 11:30 PM. If you are interested in meeting up with us, PM me and I will get the e-mail sent to my phone so we can expect you. Alternatively, you can meet at the Holy Jim Staging area at 11:45 PM.
Holy Jim is simply a dirt road (Trabuco Creek Road) that leads to a hiking trail, namely, The Holy Jim Trail. There are several areas to play off of this main road but as I understand it, it is private property so I do not go on them. With that said, EVERYBODY else that I know of goes on these side obstacles and if this is your first time there, as almost everyone else does, you'll be on them too. I don't know the law re:the side trails so it's play at your own risk.
My plan is to do the dirt road to the Holy Jim Hiking trail, turn around and head back If we get there too soon, we may go beyond to the fire station then turn around but I don't want to go to the cabins as it gets to tight up there and I don't want to disturb those that are occupying them. If you want to stop and play on the side stuff, just get on the CB and sound off, I'll wait. If you get yourself into a situation, get on the CB, I'll come and spot you or assist in the best way I can.
