8 am meet up at XL gas station Borrego Springs. If you have gas cans I suggest you fill them before you come out to the desert, gas is EXPENSIVE.
We will do some fun exploring and nothing nutz but still slightly challenging for a newb. Mostly just fun. Be sure to pack a cooler with food and at least a gallon of water per person. Just in case. ya never know. Looking forward to meetin you all and havin a great run tomorrow.

This is tempting. I am a little timid because of my total lack of experience. What is the difficulty rating? Also what are your time frames? Need more info but if you get a few people I might brave it.

I'd rate it at a 3 or less, it used to be pretty hard but they blasted windowbreaker rock and basically graded the rock garden. You can do it in a stock FJ so you should be just fine. I would spot ya through anything you got worried on. it's a fun trip because there is open sand that you can haul butt in, a nice water crossing, some rock crawlin(dare I call it that anymore) and some real beauty out there. It'll be warm but bot a big deal with our rigs.

Well I forgot, Coyote is closed from june til sep 30 so I was thinking running canyon sin nombre thru diablo drop off and on over to ocotillo wells and devils slide. Less technical but fun as hell! and if you want you can rent a rail or a quad at the rose to mess around at the end.

We are staying in Borrego Springs. It will be hot but hey it's 104deg at home anyway and at least I will have a pool at the Hotel!

where are you all meeting? i have to ask hubby what hes doing.......maybe i'll just run away with the kid for the day and go play.........if anyone is coming thru the Ramona route....let me know and we can meet up somewhere.

I only know stanlunds resort inn, it's dirt cheap. Well prolly stay out there sunday nigh. I suggest we all meet at the gas station at the palm canyon end of the christmas circle for fill up and driver meeting. suggest 8:00 am on monday, and depending on when we get out there sunday I'd be willing to do a night run still. No set plans as of yet on this end. Where are H535 staying?? since you folks will be there already mabey we should coordinate around you. ideas?? I've been off work since yesterday at 4 and don't go back till tuesday night so my brain is in chill mode. ;D

I might be up if there is anyone in the HB area that I could follow down there. I've never been and heard it's a must do. Especially if it's doable in a stocker. I just got some rock sliders off the TT edition that need broken in.

hey fun.....pm me your cell #. i'll plan on meeting you at the gas station (the big one that we always meet in right?) at 8 am...........if anyone wants to meet me in ramona and drive out with me let me know. if for some reason plans change i'll call you and let you know so you arent waiting around but i'm a definate IN right now.
