Hey everyone just joined the forum. I recently purchased a FJ Cruiser and have tested the 4x4 very little.
I wanted to do a quick day trip somewhere local. I heard saddleback had some trails but I wasn't sure. I don't wan't to just drive on a dirt road. I want to see what this close to stock FJ can do. Any suggestions for a saturday morning/afternoon test drive? I live in Long Beach. I can't wait to meet some new people with an Interest in FJ's and Camping. Also I wan't some tips on different mods for the FJ. I'm getting the Rancho Quicklift next week.

Thnaks, Greg

Re: Saddleback Mtn. ??

We have a trip to Big Bear area on 8/9, and there are several trails from easy to John Bull (very hard, even with a lift, tires, skids and sliders). Come on out!

Saddleback is and has been closed for some time now. You can do Holy Jim, see my trail report the other day, North Main Divide\Indian Truck Trail, Tenaja Truck Trail and Wildomar OHV are all in the Cleveland National Forest and I'll do any of them with you on a midnight run...

FJ-Piper, How does Holy Jim Sound? Midnight run maybe tomorrow night or Saturday night? I have a buddy that wants to go with me. It would be cool to have someone show us around and get familiar with the FJ. Let me know.

Thanks, Greg

Next Friday or Saturday is good for me....Friday would be better though. If I have to work overtime, I get off work at 11 PM, so I can meet at 11:45 PM.

Dammit! Go Figure. Next week is bad for me. I will be out of town. I am bringing my West Coastness to the East Coast.

I am gonna try to do a Friday or Saturday run like around 10:00pm though at Holy Jim. Be done by Midnight and then go hit up some munchies at a near by restaurant. I'm gonna see if a coworker want's to chill also. ;)

Next Friday or Saturday sounds good to me. I would rather wait for the midnight run and meet some of you guys up there. I think I'm gonna do a little day trip to Holy Jim to check it out on Saturday maybe around 3:00 or so. If anyone want's to join me let me know. I know how to get to the trail so hopefully I won't get lost out there. Keep me posted on the Midnight run for next weekend my schedule should be open.
