Well, day one underway and so far it's been awesome! Taking an afternoon break then we'll return for dinner and another trail run tomorrow. I was informed that there was a last minute change on the trail difficulty levels and Jacoby trail is actually the Beginner trail and the Gold Mountain trail was changed to Moderate. As I understand it, A last minute pre-run proved that Gold Mountain trail has a few more technical areas. I'll post pics of Gold Mountain tomorrow. Let see your pics, I'll start:

My front side windows are the same as my factory rear tint. Nothing on the windshield.

Awesome day!!! We did Gold Mine Mtn. It was mello but pick up important info from the trail team members.

What did everyone think of the great Team Trail Bag and goodies? Awesome.

Good to be back on the trails again and see some old friends and make some new ones.

Yep, I got two sets of screws and two back plates.

I must have got the one you are missing.

Looking forward to tomorrow. I am headed up at 6am. Hope to be at the convention center by 730am

We do not run until 11am, but wanted to set up the trailer. It is a rolling working thing now. Not done, but useable and displayable.

See you guys in the morning. My screen name is on the windshield and the rear window of my truck. I won't be hard to spot, most likely the only one with a trailer.

Glad all went well for you guys.
Re: Trail Teams Invitational May 10/11 Big Bear CA (Report)

Can someone please post pics of the other trails? I'm itchin to see the others (especially John Bull) :)
Re: Trail Teams Invitational May 10/11 Big Bear CA (Report)

John bull was well... Not John bull.. Due to time limitations, what they ended up running was a part of the trail leading up to the real John bull.. it had some nice spots, but well... it was not John Bull... On the 9am run, Jon from all-pro lead a group that split off from the TT group and did the rest of the real John Bull, and on the 11am me and Demello took 2 others with us and did the real trail.. I'll post some picts up later, I just got back in.

So once we got on the real trail, although minus the trail teams, it was a nice fun run.

Hey Piper,

here's my post from the blue room on Gold mtn.

Hey all,

just got back from big bear, and all I can say is TOYOTA ROCKS. Everyone was really friendly, and the trail bags and goodies were great!

They even made us take pictures with Thomas' (cowboy4x4)'s rig! I'm on the right.

I ran Gold Mtn (intermediate Trail)3pm. Jacoby turned out to be the beginner run.

There were only 2 real obstacles on Gold mtn..
We had some rigs with open diffs, and they had to take the alternate trail for some. Other then that the trail was fairly easy going with some nice views.

If you are in any of these pictures, and prefer to be removed, please let me know and I'll do so.

First obstacle, was a fairly steep step of about a foot and a half to 2 feet. The open diff's and non lifted Rigs had trouble here. One Fj actually got body damage on his door from this obstacle. :( and my buddy in the 80 posted below dinged right under his rear tail light and the bumper cap.

Me and my rig

Didn't get his name, but he took his battle scar like a champ

The Alternate route wasn't much easier for the stock height fj's

Hey, I am glad that you guys had a good time at the Invitational.

Dude, the pics turned out really well, I am glad you got to opportunity to participate. If you ever are looking for a spot, or your on the east coast and want to trail ride, give me a buzz and I'll give you a spot.

And I am always looking for more pics of trail runs. Let me know as the build continues, I really like the rig.

However, a tacoma got a little door sill damage from here.

nice pics lonelydriver...I forgot my computer cable for my camera so my pics will have to wait till Mon. when I get back to work...in any case, GREAT event...good people, good trails, good info, good food, good swag gifts, good fun!

blue bee (new member & FJ owner) got a flat on that first technical section of Gold Mtn. there where 14 of us in the 9am Sat. run...he redemed himself after turning around (so he wouldn't slow us down) and rescheduled for the 3pm Jacoby Trail Beginers run... ;D

I'll be on the Sun. 9am difficult run and hope they run the who'll JB trail.

Kevin, glad you made it to the forum!

I got a few pics myself. Not as many as I wish I could, but schedule was tight and we had to keep moving. I only have a few pics. I know GTKRockeTT had quite a few pics though. I'm sure we'll see them once he's rested. :)

:'( :'( :'(

My aFe hose got disconnected again.. I made sure that I tighten that thing really good last time it happened. I better check them after trail run every time. BTW, I saw you coming into parking lot around 11:00 am today. I was waving(it was small wave) my hand at you but you didn't see me.

Nice to meet you to. I only regret not being available to help you myself but I left the rig in good hands and she obviously found what you needed. We all had a blast and hopefully today will be even more fun! (if that's even possible) Hopefully we can hook up on another run soon.
Re: Trail Teams Invitational May 10/11 Big Bear CA (Report)
