Anyone up for an informal, (read: not increadibly well researched, organized and hosted a la Uphill), Mojave road run before the summer gets too hot?

Not sure about a date, certainly not 5/10-11 or Memorial Day weekend but something in late May/Early June.

Just putting the feeler out to see if there is any interest. I am pretty sure that me and a couple of friends with a Tundra and a Hummer are going to do one so thought I would see if anyone wanted to come along.

UPDATE:

OK, sounds like June 7/8 works for most.

We already have 14 rigs expressing interest and will cap it out at 15.

Think about whether you really want to go or not and I will post an official thread for sign ups etc. tomorrow.

I would have some interest in that. Memorial weekend is fine with me, but the 10th and 11th are at Big Bear.

YESSSS!!! I have missed this trip twice now. as long as A) no work B)not big bear weekend or Ouray or the beach campout.

OK, clearly the Big Bear weekend is out, Memorial Day wont work for some and definately not mid July since that's summit time.

How does June 7/8 sound for starters?

I will check to see how hot it will likely be by then and get in touch with the Ranger out there. I have the contact info that Larry provided from one of his earlier runs. If this date looks good, let me know and I wll post up some details this weekend.

Just don't hold me to putting on an event of Larry's caliber.

Is this going to be one of those balls to the wall, high speed Mojave runs I keep reading about where people are breaking parts because they are driving way too fast on dirt roads with no time to react to objects in the road? Just curious...
