Well Moby is not "pure" anymore...! Dirt don't hurt.

Parker and I had a great morning meeting you all this morning... he had a blast (so did Dad). He was telling all his baseball buds about the FJs on the mountain and "the really fast guy with the lights" (Air2Air). He wants to go again... tomorrow!

Although we did not get to hang the full run, we played a little bit on the way back down on some of the minor off the main trail areas and got back just in time to suit up for the game and hit the field.

Thanks again, this is going to be fun.

Ok - just got home. Uploaded the pics from the camera to the 'puter. Put the ribs away. Now I gotta upload the pics to Photobucket from the 'puter, and I'll be in business.

It was GREAT seeing the familiar faces, and GREAT to meet the new faces!! This run was very good. I learned a LOT on this run. I learned:

VSC is a bad thing on 4X2 FJs;

I really gotta get this FJ some ground clearance (taller tires and a lift). I had a few "skid scraper" moments on a beginner trail;

Taking pics out the driver side window holds up the whole group;

Being 3rd in a line of rigs on a dusty trail is bad....I don't wanna know what tailgunner is like;

Going one way on a trail is one thing. Going back on the same trail is like being on a whole new trail;

Even with the new rack, I still have the smallest FJ out there....sheesh.

I'll get to the pics in a few minutes. Still waiting for them to finish uploading to photobucket.

All-in-all, what a wonderful day!

Call me a rookie here but what's VSC? And if I had been able to go today, you wouldn't have been the smallest out there, we'd be side by side!!! Until tomorrow! haha Glad you had fun and I'm very jealous...I was so looking forward to this since it's so close to home. Oh well maybe next time! Can't wait to see the pics!!! See ya'll soon!

VSC is that "squirrely vehicle" light on your dash. It is Vehicle Stability Control. When you break traction with the rear tires, it beeps, makes all kinds of gawd-aweful noises, and "brings the vehicle back under control." Well, when you are in a 4X2 FJ, there are times you do not want to have VSC kick in....like when climbing a shale-covered or loose dirt incline. It may stop the wheels from spinning, but us 4X2s need to have momentum on our side...VSC kills the momentum.

Pics almost done uploading. Good thing I didn't upload them all!

Ok....here are a few pics to get things started:

When we started this morning, the cloud cover was very low. The good thing is the moisture kept the dust level down for a while:

Piper, Little Piper, and Dirtchick's Sandstorm rig....

This photo needs no caption:

The weather was still kinda soupy all day, but we got the occassional break and good photo op:

The fog just would not lift, that is until Air2Air turned on his power lamps....the clouds ran in fear...

Hey! Lookie! I have a sandstorm now, too!! The dust was THICK on the way back....

Ok, so, now howz about the rest of yooz posting yer pics?

Anything but pole position is a dusty day, and on this trail, even the front spot is not immune. ;)

Oh, and the tailgunner is blind, rig is dirty. Maybe I'll run it through a carwash..... in a week or so ;D

Looks like ya guys had some fun!

Yo IMachu Dave................I think I have tailgunned the last like 4 trips i've been on. I kinda like it. You do eat alot of dust but the big advantage is you don't have to worry about roosting rocks at the rig behind you!

I had a blast in the #4 spot, and since I am used to eating the dust from mountain biking... dust in a closed vehicle ain't so bad! Parker was screaming at me to "get some lights like the fast guys have" and "you need a jack, a shovel and and AX!"

Had a GREAT time today, seeing some of the veterans, and some of the new recruits.

Molly especially enjoyed meeting the kids, and just running around being a kid.

Ok, pictures...

Ok.... All the rigs (except I think Boboso had left before this pic) lined up for a pause...

Not the flower run, but I wanted to see if I could take pic's like the others. Not too bad for no super-zoom.

The stellar organizer and leader...

Sigh - - been trying to post my pics but I keep geeting SQL error timeouts. Happens to me a lot here. Well, I'll just keep trying
Me too... We're crashing the server :)

I had to break my posts up to just a few pictures in each. Not sure what the actual limit is, as all i get is the SQL error.
