Wet, washed out, mud, and a JK Ribicon Unlimited with less that 200 miles on it
we went in the Silverwood side about 9 am. The rain was coming down in a steady drizzle, just enough to make you decide not to step out and take pictures. (Translates into: Missy in passenger seat monitoring what happens to her new JK)
Up we started, let me tell you, a few more rains and that trail will need some major repair, ruts are growing deeper with every rain and rocks are delivering themselves to the road bed with a regularity. about 3/4 miles in a boulder the size of a trashcan was blocking the road. No winch yet so I had to go around it. Actually on the way back I went over it just to tryout the stock rockers. Anyway up we went trying out the side trails as we went. Like said earlier, this trail is getting beat up, if you go on it the next few weeks, watch out for loose spots and falling rock. We tried every side trail except pucker hill on the way up. It was on the way around pucker hill that the center rut in the trail (if you can call that center) caught a wheel and we were in a side angle crawl with the cab around 35 degree on side. Keeping on till we crawled out and going a bit more It was voted (remember for some reasons men get 1 vote women get 2) that we were alone, no winch and maybe with that last rut was telling us to come up in 2 weeks with others. So we turned around sand headed out. I had to try a few of my favorites like the waterfall and that short frame bender on the way out but basically, besides the big rock, we just headed out and soon were on our way to a watering hole for lunch.
