Another great trip through the desert with a great group! Thanks Scott for all the effort you put into scouting these trips out, my son and I had an awesome time!

I put together another interactive map that is best viewed on a desktop with the Chrome browser, sorry I only have the first days trail and not the reverse track. Some of your photos/videos were added as way points along the gpx track. Unfortunately
Amber AKA FJrazzi and David did not come along so we are lacking in quantity of photos, but I think Sean can take her place! (just need gps tags on photos)

Re: Winter YAAR Trail Run Report (Dec 2014)

Funny thing is I didn't have to use my winch the whole off-road trip, yet on the way home heading back up the 86 next to the Salton Sea, there was a lady (obviously talking on the phone the WHOLE TIME) that missed her turn or exit and tried to cross over where the middle of the road is just all SOFT DIRT and SAND. She was driving a Pontiac Sunfire and she got stuck right in the middle. This happened right in front of me as she was travelling in the opposite direction. I acted quickly and slowed down and pulled into the middle section and drove up to her and asked if she was OK. She said she had already called 911. From the opposite side, the direction she was originally come from, another truck pulled off to help as well. Looked like a red lifted Toyota truck.

She was OK, so the other guy and I started probing and looking underneath for a hook to pull her out, which there was none. He pulled out a shovel from the back of his truck, easier than me having to find my key and unlock mine, and we proceeded to dig underneath looking for a hook...again still not finding one in front, nor in back. By this time the local Sheriff pulled up in his road truck...not ready or capable of really helping.

I hooked up my winch to the rear axle and pulled her free of the hole she was in and we figured the best bet would be to drag this car backwards back onto the road, so the Sheriff went back to stop traffic and we hooked the car up to my snatch strap around the rear axle and I pulled it out and back onto the road. We totally saved her day as it would have taken another hour or more to get a tow truck driver or similar to the site and pull her out.

Sheriff thanked us as well as the lady...still talking on the phone the WHOLE TIME.

Just an added story for the awesome weekend I had.
