Due to many limitations, it was not practicle to have a stationary photographer capture the rough parts of the trail and so the pictures you are viewing here are from many dedicated wheelers who one handedly attempt to take pics through their windshields while driving through the difficult parts. I have many many more pics than what I post but after QC checks, most do not make the cut due to blurring, out of frame, etc...Originally Posted by busta3396
Trail difficulty is subjective. What is difficult for one may not be for the other. There were 3 parts of the trail that I found to be challenging but I completed the run unscathed, this time. I did take one or two hits to my rock sliders but hey, that's why they're there right?
I had an absolute awesome time with a great bunch of people and wish someone would start a thread for the 2009 Brooklyn Mine Trail Run so I can be the first to sign up! ;)
I was wondering the same thing.. Has anyone heard anything from him? I'm somewhat concerned...Originally Posted by FunJunkie
Someone needs to comb the mines.
In his defense, he did leave me a voicemail and a PM explaining of some mechanical as well as personal issues, both of which have been resolved but I didn't get them due to the lack of cell coverage in the park.Originally Posted by FunJunkie

Joshua Tree - Brooklyn Mine Trail Run
December 7th, 2008
We had a nice day out on the trail in Joshua Tree National Park.
13 rigs met up at the visitors center at 9:30 am, and we headed out to thee trailhead.
Airing down at the trailhead -
Striking out -
A beautiful day in the desert -
The trail got a little dicey in more than a few places -
Lunch time -
It was nice and cool all day, and we got a few sprinkles at lunchtime -
Line up along the trail -
Major intersection -
Al managed to find some mud -
My rig -
A nice little cactus -
We did have one flat tire, but other than that, no major issues to report -
Airing back up for the ride home -
Nice pics Volhoo! LOVE the shot of the cactus. It was great to finally get to wheel with you, though I never got close enough to the front to see you in action.
Very nice pics and write-up volhoo. Good choice of pics to post as well, you filled a lot of the gaps in this report. ;D
