I would avoid this company..... Eagle Motorsports

I know a lot of members are considering buying or looking at the Halo angel eye lights.
I bought my set on eBay and thought I got a good deal the lights were nice, they used a different bulb not the normal H4 which seemed strange but not a big deal.

This is a link to my auction:

2007 2010 Toyota FJ Cruiser CCFL Angel Eye Halo Projector Black Headlights | eBay
so about 3-4 weeks after installing the lights the driver side light started flickering.
I opened it up and looked at it nothing obvious.

I contacted the company via email and let them know there was an issue.
They offered to replace it but I had to return it in the original packaging....
Which I didn't have, emailed them again and they wanted me to send them a $90 deposit.

By this point the drivers side light was completely out, after inspecting again I found the connector to the bulb had melted.
I took pictures and sent it to the company, they still wanted a deposit.
Keep in mind they took a day or two to respond to each email....
Also this place is in Hacienda Heights down the road from where I live.
They said I couldn't stop by and exchange at their facility.

Another few weeks goes by and then the passenger side goes out.
I send them another email explaining the situation and that I want a refund.
Their response was that my "order has expired" lol whatever that means.
and then offered to sell me another set of lights at a discounted price.

Unfortunately eBay's resolution center only opens a claim if it is within 30 days of purchase, which with this companies delayed responses went past that time limit.
PayPal on the other hand doesn't have the 30 day time limit, hopefully it gets resolved but we shall see lol....

I know I'm ranting a bit but just don't want anyone else to get burned.

Replacement policies don't make up for poor engineering.

Poor engineering and replacement really sucks.

here we go again... cant you just once disagree with some respect...
wtf is "posting to post"? isn't that what a forum is for, an exchange of ideas?

you should learn that everything said on the internet should be taken with a grain of salt, most things on eBay are junk Korean refurbished junk not to UL standards. I have seen so many cars become bonfires from eBay amps, stereos and accessories.

if you buy a used iPhone or something from another person that used it and just selling cuz there broke or got a better item, not importing it from Korea then its prob gunna be fine. but if you see a knock of clone item that is new for dirt cheap then it was prob refurbished in a 3rd world country by children with duct tape. It only takes one bad device to burn down your house.

Order another set.....then when they arrive, just file a claim with ebay for refund and send the old burnt out ones back.

Work them back the way they worked you.

Of course that doesn't get you your initial refund...but possibly a new working set?

Hopefully your PayPal account is linked to a credit card and you used for payment. If you did, dispute it with the card company. This has worked for me in the past. PayPal and eBay are not very effective in resolving what should be cut and dry issues. Good luck.
