EBC Stage 5 Superstreet Disc Brake Kits

Looking at changing my pads and rotor all the way around.

anyone have an opinion or experience with the EBC stage 1 through stage 5 kits?
are stage 5 worth the extra money or for FJ applications are stage 2 or 3 just as good?

What don't you like about the stock pads? I know without sway bars I can't hot rod around to push the stock set up.

Stay away from drilled/slotted on off-road rigs

What's the reason for that Jeremy, do the slots and holes accumulate dirt and crap?

I'm due for new front brakes and was looking at upgrade options too, so this thread is good timing :-)

Total joy buying the inexpensive Toyota stock pads, thick as candy bars and last forever.

I have Brembo on my DD, replacement is often and costly.

I have them on the corporate cruiser on all 4 corners. Big brake improvement over the stock rotors and pads. Has a better bite and don't experience brake fade like I did with the oem brakes. They are not cross drilled. They are dimpled and slotted, come in black. We have the stage 5 on the fj

Where's a good (i.e. cheap!) place to buy OEM Toyota parts like pads?

Trdparts4u is the cheapest place for OEM parts. I usually buy OEM-grade from rockauto though

Factory pads, like the oil filters, from the mother ship. Sometimes you can find good prices on amazon, I picked up 10 filters in one bundle cheap.
