So the battery tender can only charge one battery at a time?

A simple jumper while using the battery tender would allow both batteries to be serviced from the one tender.I might have missed something but the newer battery designs will stay charged for a year if there is no draw. What do you have hooked to the back up battery that is hot all the time.I know there is a small drain on the primary so that would be where I would have the tender if I was only going to charge one battery.

Acutally I don't have anything thats hooked up to the aux battery thats hot all of the time! So it sounds like I should just have the Battery Tender on the main battery?

That is what I am hinting at. It makes so much more sense when you think of it.

Re: Dual battery kit -new low price - best deal ever !!!

If you have a Dirty Parts dual battery kit, you can put the kit in the "Emer On" (red LED)mode while hooked up to the battery tender, and both batteries will be charged (although at a slower pace due to the larger load). Just remember that in this mode both batteries are connected, so both batteries can drain down together, too - so turn everything off, and remember to switch back to "Dual On" (green LED) mode when you disconnect the tender...
