As the title says. I'm curious and correct me if im a douche. But why would you want to switch on the fly? Someone in the other forums is having an issue with switching from 4w High to 2wd. Maybe you guys saw this already. But I'm curious to why would you want to switch on the fly. If you're going maybe 20+ mph it may have an advantage to getting somewhere or completing a track faster right?(but it's a new stock 2013 TT FJC), and anything less it wouldn't be worth the gear grinds and be better to stop? correcto mundo?
As far as I know: the rubicon is the only one that can change on the fly.
I switch on the fly with a MT all the time.No gear grind.It is usually from 4hi to 2 hi,but it will go both ways.
And if your with a group offroading. I guess it would depend on the trail. But if your expecting the trail to be something -other- than easy breezy beautiful cover girl. Wouldn't you already be in 4hi?
I switch mine on the fly all the time. I have the auto.
