I have a virtually brand-new, spotless Yaesu FT-270R 2 meter handheld radio for sale.

I purchased this radio as a "spare", to loan out in the field, but I realize this is overkill, since I have multiple handhelds. This radio has been out of the box to program and test, but never used in the field since I've owned it (about 4 months).

What the TX freq range on it? (website only shows the RX... ie; is it HAM range only, or commercial range covering both TX and RX in that range?) Thanks.

As with any transceiver/receiver, look in the Specifications area of the manual. Usually towards the rear of the document.

RX = 137 - 174MHz
TX = 144 - 148MHz

Thanks. Yes, it helped. I was on browsing with phone, and didnt want to DL the PDF manual. Wont work for my needs (without mods). All yours Phineas.
