So I've pretty much figured I'm either going to go with the 35" nitro trail grapplers or the 35" toyo mtr's. Which one should I pic and why. I do mainly street driving but still want it to be capable off road, and the look is important too. I also want a 20" rim, I see. Lot of 20x9's 20x10's and 20x12.5's. What size rim????
20" inch rim what profile. I know I'm not the most experienced offroader. But I haven't seen anyone there with dubs. Not enough rubber will ride hard and will not have enough sidewall. Get an escalade or something. Heavy ass car with no rubber will break your back.
How high are you lifted?
You should do 18" lift and a **** load of crome.
And then shoot it to put it out of its misery.
Discount tires for example sell Black Rhino 20" wheels that will fit the FJ , the specs are 20x9 6x-139.7 +12mm offset
I've seeing a couple of FJ's in the other forum with those and 325/60/20 Duratracs, or 315/60/20 Toyo MT's,
You'll want to gear up to carry that mass around
Man talk about bouncing around...I remember when you asked about gauges and then a SAS...now dubsut:
To try and be somewhat helpful; Look up the size tire you want on Toyo's site. It will give you a range of rim widths the tire is designed to work with. 35" tire is generally ~12.5" wide, so unless the "808" style is what you're going for, I'm betting the site will say for 35's a range between 8"-9" width.

I see to a of fj' with 17 295 12.5 and I just thought that was kind of wide, funny you say 808 style, my girl is from Hawaii drives a duramax crew cab long bed jacked up with the tires sticking WAY OUT, lol
Hey morallybankrupt ur freakin funny. Ur very entertaining on all ur questions that we all know ur not going to do anything on ur fj. Besides fjBruizer says it all. Hahahahaha
1morun, your an idiot, you think cause I have questions I'm not going to do anything, I just don't want to make the same mistakes others have. Probably you, and for the amount of time I spend off road I probably have different needs than you, I have money and I spend it, I'm not rich but money ain't a thing.
1morun, I ask these questions cause I am more familiar with the land rover defender 110, and the H1 which I sadly no longer have Here is a link to my 110 I have it for sale on eBay, I have put close to 60k into it, not including the cost of it. E
Well, it's your money so go get what you want. You're not gonna get the answer you want to hear from this group. Most, if not all the guys here are going for functionality offroad. I say go big! Like this!
